    Passed in 1774
    Passed to punish colonists for the Boston Tea Party
    Colonists again thought this was unfair
    Government did not care
  • Townshend Acts

    Passed in 1776
    A tax passed on led, glass, paper, and tea that were imported from other countries
    The Boston Tea Party happened
    Government punished the colonists with other acts
