    Claudius Ptolemy was born in 100 AD and died in 160 AD and lived in Alexandria, Egypt. Claudius made a discovery of the "Geocentric Theory" or the "Ptolemaic System" which meant that he believed that the Earth was in the center of the galaxy.

    Nicolaus Copernicus was born in 1473 and died in 1543. He discovered the 'Heliocentric System' or 'Sun-Centered System'.
