GALILEO GALILEI
Was an Italian mathematican, astronomer, physcist and inventor. He was born on February 15, 1564 in Pisa. He is known as one of the great minds of Renaissance. -

In 1581 he was enrolled in the University of Pisa to study medicine, but he left at 21. -
Contributions
In 1592 he moved an began to work as a professor of atronomy, mechanics and geometry until 1610. Where he contributed in many ways to humanity whit the heliocentric theory, the invention of the telescope, scientific methology, observation of the celestial bodies and the development of mathematics among-many other things. -
Theory of heliocentric.
In 1611 he went to Rome to present his findings where he rejected the geocentrism theory and tested the heliocentric one. -
Inquisition
And in 1616 the inquisition prohibited Galileo from supporting the heliocentric theory. -

However in 1632 he published a work where he openly defended his theory. -
Threats
In 1633, at age 63, he was tried for non-compliance with his prohibition to maintain heliocentricity, forcing him to confess that his theory was wrong under threats. -
Arrest
Reducing if sentences of house arrest during 1633 to 1638. -
Died.
Finally in 1642 at age 74 Galileo Galilei died.
