Acting Minister of Transport of Malaysia announced the setting up of the Operations Coordinating Centre (OCC) to efficiently manage SAR efforts amongst all relevant agencies Vietnam lent 3 airplanes and 1 helicopter to the SAR effort. Philippines joins in with 3 navy ships and 2 aircraft. Singapore also sends in its aircraft, helicopter and navy frigate. -

Two passports recorded as lost or stolen used by passengers
Acting Transport Minister addressed air turn-back, CCTV footage of two passengers with stolen passports at KLIA and assets deployed for SAR efforts.
The two Iranian men are later revealed as suspected illegal immigrants, and background checks on those on board go on to produce no red flags. -

Australia sent two air force P3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft to help in the rescue efforts. China sends in 2 amphibious transport docks, helicopters and a navy destroyer. Indonesia sends a navy corvette, patrol boat, three fast patrol vessels and a maritime patrol aircraft. The U.S deploys 2 aircraft, 2 navy ships and a helicopter. -
SAR effort
DG of DCA announced that 34 aircraft and 40 ships have been deployed for MH370 SAR efforts. Acting Transport Minister announced that the China delegation arrived to help with SAR efforts, intelligence and in engaging families. -

In the northern corridor, China, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Laos, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have verbally informed that based on preliminary analysis there have been no sightings of the aircraft on their radar. -
French satellite spots more objects
New satellite images from French authorities show potential objects in the Southern Corridor. -

Malaysia Prime Minister confirms the flight ended in the southern Indian Ocean
Malaysia Prime Minister Najib Razak confirms that the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 took a course along the Southern Corridor where it is expected to have ended its journey in a remote part of the Indian Ocean. MAS announced that it is assumed beyond reasonable doubt that flight MH370 has been lost. -
