An Act is passed to have Delaware and Raritan Canal join the Camden and Amboy Railroad company to consolidate their stock and funds in order to complete both the canal and railroad. -

The portion of the canal going from Trenton to Kingston was available for local traffic -
D & R Canal was complete!
The Delaware and Raritan Canal was succesfully finished.
