Liberal positions
A liberal government was sought and the presence of 2 political forces originated a congress where reformist laws were issued such as the Juarez Law, Lafragua Law, Iglesias Law, Lerdo Law, among others.
All of them had the purpose of separating the Church from the State. -
The constitution of 1857
The Constitution was created and sworn in by the congress and President Comonfort. It established the republican regime and 3 powers: executive, legislative and judicial.
