On this day, King Louis XVI calls for a meeting of all the estates. People who were present include representatives from each of the estates, clergy, nobility, and the rest of the population of France. -

After being put on trial, the verdict was to execute him. So on the 21st of January, 1791, he is executed by the form of the guillotine. -

On this day, Maximilien Robespierre is executed (of course, by the form of the guillotine) and as a result, the Girondins gain more power from the Jacobins.
