    The three estaes, the nobles, the clergy and the third-estate marched through the hall of Versailles. The third estate insisted that the vote of the three orders would be taken by head, not by order. They knew this plan would succeed as they were a majority of poeple in the 3rd estate. As a result, the king refued their request and the third estate refused to change
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Third estate is removed from the Estates General. Delegates then break into an indoor tennis court pledging to stay until constitution was drawn.

    Marching of an angry crowd of Parisians, hungry for money, food and change. Marquis de Lunay, the commander of Bastille, surrendered to the mob .

    Statement created by the General Assembly that includes the revolutionary ideals and the rights of men.

    The french government can now take control of the church, announces the Civil Constitution of the Clergy. Money was scarce and the church begins to land.

    Constitution finally coming into effect, France was announced a constitutional monarchy. In this event, the National Assembly was converted into the Legislative Assembly.

    The Legislative Assembly discussed war, as Europe began to rise with tension, as well as France's support for war. Monarchists wanted war to conquer the new government while the revolutionaries wanted it to unify the nation and spread the idea of revolution.

    After Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette was arrested, the Legislative Assembly was replaced to the National Convention. Both Louis and Marie Antoniette were declared guilty and beheaded the same day. France was declared as a republic on the 21 of September.
