    One of the first documents in English history that guarantees the natural rights of all people. It states that the monarch or the head of state doesn't have the authority to do whatever he wanted. It influenced the United States by allowing the citizens to decide the fate of the nation rather than an absolute authority doing whatever he pleases. Allowing the citizens to control the government rather than the other way around.
  • mayflower compact

    1st governing document in the plymouth colony. vaguely allowed religious freedom. influenced the United States by guaranteeing religious freedoms and the right to worship. given the state of the world at the time this was revolutionary.
  • English bill of rights

    the governing document of England, it was signed by William and Mary after the glorious revolution and the failed state that was the republic. it guarantees the rights of everyone. It influenced the constitution by being a framework for the constitution.

    This is the war that made George Washington famous. This bolstered his military career. It influenced the constitution because without George Washington, we won't have the United States.

    This is the first piece of rebellion in the colonies. it kick-started the chain of events that eventually led to the revolutionary war. without it, we wouldn't have the revolution.

    the war that made the United States a country. If we had lost the war then we would still be British today. I don't know about you but I don't want to be British.
