John Dupre is a British philosopher of science and a professor of philosophy at the University of Exeter and is considered a member of the Stanford School of science philosophy, an informal group of philosophers that all taught at one time or another at Stanford and argue against the Unity of Science. Some of his most well know scientific philosophies is a rejection determinism and embracing indeterministic probabilistic causality as well as criticism of the handling of biological taxonomy.
