This book was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe after she had visited the south and witnessed slavery. This book made many things come up where southerners were against the book and northerners agreed with it, it raised many questions about slavery. -
Kansas Nebraska Act
This was when a compromise happened that made two territories in Missouri and allowed for popular sovereignty. -
Republican Party
The republican party was the Whigs but later they came up with the republican name for an anti slavery party in the Wisconsin school house. -

This happened because the Sothern states wanted slavery and the 11 states were South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. -
