  • 1914-1916

After his time in Manchester, returning to Copenhagen, marrying Margrethe Norlund, being appointed assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen, Bohr's work on atom model led to a trilogy of papers. He worked hard on his ideas and developing his own quantum version of the Rutherford atom model. After his published work, Einstein remarked it as "one of the great discoveries"
  • Nobel Prize in Physics
