  • Microsoft XP

    Microsoft XP was the first operating system that was intended for the mainstream user. It was slick and easy to use. It introduced the task bar which became standard for operating systems after. Their wasn't one person who invented Microsoft XP rather a team of engineers at Microsoft had been working on it throughout the 1990's.

  • Facebook

    Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004. Facebook has now over 2.7 billon users. It also now owns WhatsApp, and Instagram making it the largest messaging system in the world. Facebook main use is for social networking.

  • Youtube

    YouTube was invented by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim in 2005. It was a video sharing platform. YouTube has around 2 billon users.

  • Iphone

    The iPhone was invented by Steve Jobs but its various components come from other researchers. It changed phone use forever by making the phone into a computer. Also its touch screen was quite revolutionary for its time.

  • Fitbit

    Fitbit was made by James Park. It was a health device allowing one to track steps and heart rate. As the years went on the device become slowly more and more incorporated into smart phone usage.
