  • The proclamation of 1763

    In 1763, to prevent more war with Native American, the British government issued a proclamation ( statement) telling colonists they were prohibited from moving beyond the Appalachian Mountains.

  • The stamp Act 1765

    To pay for the French and Indian war, the British made the colonist pay taxes on stamps, sugar, tea, and other product.
