The slaves were sold at auctions. The buyers were owners of plantations in Caribbean, North American colonies. The ships loaded up with sugar, tobacco, cotton, sailed back to England. The slaves used English words, mixed with their native language. Words in Creole were borrowed, population, used in the English language. Creole isn't same on every island in Caribbean, the Barbados variant =closer to standard English. Some people believe Creole is a language but in fact it is an English dialect. -
