In 1962, American philosopher (of science) Thomas Kuhn, published his famous work (a book): "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions". This book became very influential within the communities/confines/aspects of history, the philosophy, and sociology pertaining to the fields of science. - Moreover, the book would be greatly influential specifically in terms of introducing one of Thomas Kuhn's key ideas and principles, The Paradigm Shift, - to the world and audiences within the realms of science. -

Thomas Kuhn (1922-1996) : Puzzle-Solving & the Development of Science
Although Thomas Kuhn had began his initial studying of the subject - Scientific History - in the 1950s (what was at the time considered a new, trending subject) - Kuhn released and introduced his description of the idea of "Puzzle-solving" , - (Kuhn's) depiction of the process, which is widely known by many to be called "Normal Science" in 1996. - He used this term to describe in a philosophical sense, the acts surrounding science throughout its history in attempt to solve a puzzle. -
