Thomas Kuhn, Paradigm shft
Thomas Kuhn initially brought about the "paradigm shift" in his book; "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1962). Kuhn proposed that science and its processes constantly develop and shift through major changes in the structures that typically govern scientific research. -
The Kuhn Approach
Thomas Kuhn brought many things to the scientific field, which includes his historical and sociological perspective. As for his historical view, he would attempt to look at how scientific practices have evolved over the years. This would explain why he believed that much of the science we have today, or they had at his time, was built upon by past theories, whether successful or not. He also had a Sociological view that the community itself aided scientific development.
