Pike Expedition
The Pike Expedition is a millitary effort authorized by the U.S. government to explore the south and west of the recent Louisiana Purchase.
Led by U.S. army Captain Zebulon Pike which ended in disaster because the Spanish thought they were spies so they arrested them and at July 1st 1807 they arrived to the border of Loisiana at Natchitoches. -

The Embargo Act of 1807 A.K.A ("Oh Grab Me" act) is put because of tensions between U.S. and the British and French.
This act kept U.S. ships from sailing to foreigh ports and closed U.S. ports to British ships, but was harmfull to the U.S. than the British & French. -
