Elon Musk conceived Mars Oasis, an idea to land a miniature experimental greenhouse on Mars, containing food crops growing on Martian regolith, in an attempt to reawaken public interest in space exploration. This was the beginning of a new era in space travel. in 2002 he would give his company the name SpaceX. -

Tesla was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and saw little revenue. In January 2016, Elon owned 28.9 million Tesla shares which equated to 22% of the company. In January 2018, Musk was granted an option to buy up to 20.3 million shares if Tesla's market value were to rise to $650 billion. Majority shareholder approval for this package was approved in March 2018 granting him ownership of tesla. -
Master Plan
In July 2016, Musk released Tesla's "master plan part 2" and planned to Create stunning solar roofs with seamlessly integrated battery storage. Expand the electric vehicle product line to address all major segments [including small SUV and pickup truck]. Develop a self-driving capability that is 10X safer than manual via massive fleet learning. Enable your car to make money for you when you aren't using it. -
Decline
On September 6, 2018, Musk appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast and discussed various topics for over two hours. One of the highest profile and controversial aspects of the program was Musk's sampling a single puff from a cigar consisting, Rogan claimed, of tobacco laced with cannabis. -

Elon has admitted his actions were wrong and not slowed down a bit in all of his businesses. he is releasing new Teslas every year and landed the first set of humans on the moon in a SpaceX rocket in may which was a success. Elon is one of the most wealthy people on the planet and has a net worth of a whopping $98.2.
