Plymoth was founded in 1620. Massachusetts Bay was founded in 1629. They were both founded by the pilgrims and the puritans. The purpose of the colony was for religious freedom. Plymoth signed the May flower Compact ; direct democracy. -

Connecticut was founded in 1639 by Thomas Hooker. Winthrope came to Connecticut in 1662. The purpose of the colony was for religious and political freedom. Connecticut adopted the orders of conecticut on January 14, 1639. -
