  • Period: 4000 BCE to 3000 BCE

    First Civilzations

    One of the rising civilization was called Cradle located in Sumer. This Middle Eastern area gave rise to the world's easiest language which was used to record items given from temples. The Second earliest settlement was located in the Nile River Valley in northeastern Africa which was the emergence of the Egyptian Settlement. A separate civilization situated along the Nile was a civilization called Nubia.
  • Period: 3000 BCE to 1800 BCE

    Caral

    The third civilization to be constructed was along the central coast of Peru next to the Andes Mountains for easy access to water.
  • Period: 2070 BCE to 1600 BCE

    Xia (Shyah) Dynasty

    Organized flood control projects that controlled the waters and shaped the channels were mastered by the Legendary Monarch Wu.
  • 1700 BCE

    Indus Valley

    The Indus Valley had an influence on irrigation by increasing the amount of salt in the soil and lowering crop yields. Ceremonial bathing, burning of incense, ritual altars, yoga positions, bulls, and elephants as religious symbols, styles, and clothing/jewelry started to become developed in the civilzation of the Indian Subcontinent.
  • Period: 1600 BCE to 1046 BCE

    Shang Dynasty

    They were known for the invention of writing, the development of a stratified government, the advancement of bronze technology, and the use of chariot and bronze weapons in warfare. As well as advancements in math, astronomy, and artwork.
  • Period: 1046 BCE to 771 BCE

    Zhou Dynasty

    The Zhou Dynasty enlarged the Chinese Territory, buried rulers in lavish tombs, and thousands of human sacrifices were buried with them. During this era, a distinctively Chinese political ideology was developed and listed a ruler called the Son of Heaven.
  • 725 BCE

    Kush Conquest

    King Pye invaded Egypt easily since the competition between the 10 kingdoms within Eypgt were not fond of one another.
  • Period: 539 BCE to 450 BCE

    Persian Empire

    The founder of the Persian Empire, Cyrus the Great, had taken over Egypt and Mesopotamia. The Persians conquered Mesopotamia by defeating Babylon in 539 BCE. Later on, defeated Eygpt in the Battle of the Pelusium.
