    Before the Colonists became Free

    These are the things that pushed the colonists into a Reveloution.

  • The Sugar Act

    This was a tax that England put on Sugar that the colonists purchased.

  • The Stamp Act

    This is a tax by England on any paper item.

  • The Boston Masacre

    This was a fight that occured when the colonists threw rocks and sticks and other items at a squad of Brittish soldiers.

  • The Boston Tea Party

    This was an attack by the colonists in which they dressed up like Indians and sent tea and sugar into the ocean that the brittish had sent them.

  • The Intolerable Acts

    These acts were passed as a response to the Boston Tea Party. These laws were the last straw for the colonists.

  • The First Continential Congress Meeting

    This was the first meeting in which the colonists discussed becoming a new nation.
