It is important because it was the start for a subscription-based movie rental service. This was huge as it did help curve the idea of having to return rentals for example Blockbuster or incur large late fees.

    Google, the American search engine company, was founded in 1998 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. More than 70 percent of worldwide uses Google search. Google began first as an online search firm now it does offer more than 50 Internet services and products. From e-mail and online document creation to software for mobile phones and tablet computers.

    In 2001- T-mobile released the sidekick, it made mobile internet easy. You could now AIM you friends from your personal device instead of having to go to a computer. You were able to now have internet with you on the go at a lower price.

It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and college roommates and fellow Harvard University students, in particularly Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. It was originally only for Harvard students then expanded to other Ivy league colleges. It did create a platform for universities to communicate but then increased to be one of the largest social platforms
