Joseph Glidden is the inventor of Barbed wire. Barbed wire was use to keep cattle from going into farm yard during cattle drives. They were also used to keep cattle in an area if they belonged to the farmer. -
Wounded Knee
US soldiers surounded Sioux chief Big Foot at the banks of Wounded Knee creek. The soldiers were given the order to arrest Big foot after they discoverd that the Sioux were doing the Ghost Dance. -
Oklahoma Land Rush
People lined up in wagons on horses and on foot to claim land. When a connon fired everyone raced to get the best land. There were also people who cheated and claimed the land before the Land Rush began. -

William McKinley won the election of 1896 agaist William Jennings Bryan. The election of 1896 is said to be the most dramatic and complex election in history.
