New Kid in Town
When the new kid from the South moved to Flint, he became really good friends with Kenny. The kids name was Rufus Fry and he was Mississippi. Everyday Kenny would give Rufus a sandwich and during the afternoon after school, Rufus and Kenny would play dinosaur and have the "battle of the century". -
Bully
Kenny loses his nice leather gloves, and Larry Dunn denies that he stole them. Kenny gets a famous snow wash and Larry leaves. Kenny's older brother Bryon caught up with Larry and knock the socks off his feet. Bryon gives Larry a snow wash and Larry finally told the truth that he stole Kenny's glove and he gives them back. -
Not So Smooth
When Bryon and Kenny were scraping the car, Bryon was looking at himself in the mirror. Bryon was starting to kiss himself and he got his tongue stuck to the mirror. Dad had to rip it off in order to get it off the mirror. -

When Momma sent Kenny and Bryon to go get grocies, she told them just to sign a paper. Both Kenny and Bryon thought there family was on welfare, which they weren't. The store had a plan where after Dad gets paid he would go pay the store. After Kenny and Bryon found out, Kenny and Bryon would get all sorts of stuff without anyone findnding out. -

When the family found out they were going to Alabama, daddy bought an Ultra-Glide, which is a record player in cars. Momma at first was really mad because she said that was a lot of money.In the end Momma was pretty happy because Daddy played a love song that she, well loved. -
The Watsons Go To Birmingham
After Byron's attitude, the Watsons decided to have "Daddy Cool" go to grandma Sands in Birmingham, Alabama for the whole Summer, possible the school year too. -
Church Bombing
On September 15, 1963 in Birmingham, Alambama there was a bombing at church which ended up killing Addie Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson and Cythia Wesley. Robert Chambliss, Herman Cash, Thomas Blanton and Bobby Cherry were responsible for the bombings and the 4 killings and 23 injuries. -
Dangerous Dropoff
Kenny is warned not to go to Collier Land which is a fishing place. Well Kenny decided to anyway and ended up falling in Collier's pond. Six kids were reported dead in that pond before, and Kenny was about to die before his brother "Big Daddy Cool" saved him. -

After the church bombing, Kenny kept hiding behind the couch because he was scared and that there was some magical powers that would heal him. -

On the day of November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas John Fitgerald Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. It was a very tragic day while lots of people watched the news all day. Oswald was later killed on November 24, 1963 by a gun shot wound. -
