    Relations with Britain worsen steadily. Significance=Didn't Help Later On
  • General William

    American troopsunder General William Hull invaded Canada from Detroit. Significance=Hull didn't have enough troops so he gave up
  • Warship

    Use Constituition defeated the British warships. Significance=We won against most poweful navy and gave ourselves confidence
  • Put-In-Bay

    Put-In-Bay
    Three hour battle took place at Put-In-Bay (west part of the lake). Significance=Oliver Perry wouldn't give up even after his ship was badly damaged
  • Capital

    British force marched into Washington, D.C. Significance=They burned the capital
  • Our National Anthem

    Our National Anthem
    British warships bomarded the fort at night. Significance=The Star Spangled Banner was created and is still sung today
