    During 1969 Nixon ordered te secret bombing of Cambodia and Laos. In aims to destroy parts of the Ho Chi Minh trail, bombs were dropped for over 14 months. Over 600,000 Vietnemese were secretly killed with airstrikes from the US.

    Congress changed the voting age from 21 to 18. It hadnt made sense that a man could fight in the war but could not vote back at home.

    This act limited the power of the President. Presidents could no longer send troops to war without the permission from congress to prevent future events like Vietnam.

    North Vietnam signed a treaty wit hthe United States and South Vietnam. It required that the US take all troops out of Vietnam, Vietcong troops were allowed to stay in the Soviet Union and resume their war. However soldiers MIA or POWs were not accounted for
