The beginning of Walt Disney Studios
The walt Disney Company started in a small office in Los Angeles ran by Walt and his brother Roy. Alice Comedies were first produced there by Roy which he called short live-action and animated films. They then called the loft "disney Bros. Studios." -
Mickey was born
One of the changes that took place at the office was Mickey Mouse was born followed by Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck and the rest of the characters. -
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Disney's firrst full length animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was released and claimed worldwide success. The film also gained critical acclaim. With the profits he made he decided to move to Burbank. -
Live Action Production
Disney launched into the production of live-action features and television programs. The studio set consisted of sond stages and production craft facilities. Most of his films were shot using five soud stages. -
Fantasia
When Disney released this film it was a major hit in the box offices. The animation music was conducted by Lepold Stokowski and was played by the Philadelphia Orchestra. -
Sound Stages
After Stage one was made for the studios and the original lot, Stage two was built shortly after which was used for the film "Dragnet" and then came "The Mickey Mouse Club. Thus becoming th largest sound stage in los Angeles. -
Move to Burbank
During the 1950s Walt Disney prduced many films in Burbank including, Fantasia, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan. He also wated to expad his studios. He did this by owning 51 acres of land in Burbank so that his films would be more modern. -
Mickey Mouse Club
Mickey Mouse CLub makes its first debut on television. It was his first of many of Walt Disneys television series. It first aired on ABC. -
Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins was a live action animation that told a tale of a magical english nanny and the children that she looked after. It was also known as "Disneys Masterpiece" because of what Walt put into his film. -
Walt Disney's Death
The creator of all things Disney and its characters passes away at the age of 65. His legacy and vision will live on through his magical and inspiring films. The Walt Disney Company still makes even more Disney films til this day.
