Peace Agreement
South Vietnam, North Vietnam, and the United State sign a ceasefire agreement. US eventually removes it troops, and South Vietnam agrees to hold free elections and let its people decide their future. -
Vietnam War ends!
The Vietnam war officially ends.US troops are ventually sent back to the United States. About 60,000 US soldiers dead, nearly 150,000 wounded and about 1,000 missing in action. The conflict still remains between North and South Vietnam but the United States congress rejects the aid to South Vietnam.
