Bronze Age 3200 BC - 1300 BC
This age was divided to three periods.
Jebel Hafeet period, Umm al Nar period and Wadi Suq period. -
Period: 3200 BCE to 2500 BCE
Jebel Hafeet period
This period extends from 3200 BC to 2500 BC. And is named after the tombs found below Jebel Hafeet, near the Al Ain area in Abu Dhabi.
The most important monuments are the ancient settlements and graves found near Jebel Hafeet -
Period: 2500 BCE to 2000 BCE
Umm al Nar period
This period extends from 2500 BC to 2000 BC. It was named so after the discovery of the monuments (such as lots of mounds, many round tombs and several graves) on Umm al Nar Island. around the mid nineteen fifties. -
Period: 2000 BCE to 1300 BCE
Wadi Suq period
This period extends from 2000 BC to 1300 BC. That was named after one of the sites in Wadi Suq.
The most important discoveries in this period are just a number of tombs, spear heads and silver and gold ornaments that were found in Ras al Khaimah, Sharjah and Dubai. -
Period: 1300 BCE to 300 BCE
The Iron Age
The Iron Age is extended from 1300 BC to 300 BC. During the ere the most important discovery was the falaj which is an irrigation system that extracted ground water. -
