    On the morning of Sunday 30 January 1972, around ten thousand people gathered in Londonderry for a civil rights march. The British Army had sealed off the original route. People who was demontrating were following the route and the parachutes started to kill people.

    The Guildford Four and the Maguire Seven were the names of two groups of innocent people who was convictions in English tribunal in 1975 and 1976 for the Guildford pub bombings of 5 October 1974 were cancel after long campaigns for justice.

    On the night of 21 November 1974 IRA bombs exploded at two pubs in Birmingham city centre. Twenty-one people were killed and 182 were injured in what at the time was the worst ever terrorist attack on English territoire.

    It was on the same day that England played Scotland at Wembley in the Euro 96 football tournament.

    The Belfast Agreement is also known as the Good Friday Agreement, because it was signed on a Friday, it was on 10 April 1998.It was an agreement, between the British and Irish government and most of the political parties in Northern Ireland.It was agreed that there would be no change without the consent of the majority.

    The bomb that smashed Omagh town centre in August 1998 was the most devastated tragedy in the history of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. That was because a car bomb exploded in the market town of Omagh and the shockwaves were felt across Northern Ireland and the world. It was the single worst atrocity of a conflict and 29 people and 2 babies died.

    Luckily for everybody, in 1998 the "Good Friday Agreement" ended the conflict, when both sides realised nobody could win the conflict. Both armed organisations agreed that only the majority of people would decide if they wanted to remain a part of the UK or unite with Ireland. Nowadays, the situation in Ireland is much better. There are still tensions between catholics and protestants but Irish people are making a big effort to advance and work together towards peace.
