    The Goddess of Discord (Eris), was the only god uninvited. Eris shrew a golden apple into the wedding that said "For the Fairest". Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite all wanted the apple, but Zeus never chose between them.

    Judgment of Paris

    Paris, Prince of Troy, has to chose which god is the fairest. He chooses Aphrodite because she promises him the most beautiful woman in the world.

    Paris goes to visit King Menelaus of Sparta

    Helen, his wife, was the most beautiful woman in the world.

    Paris steals Helen

    Paris steals Helen and brings her back to Troy while King Menelaus goes to Crete.
