how it started
At a toy convention Ole wanted to promote his wooden toys and ended up buying a machine that would mold plastic. This was the beginning of lego. -
1932
The first lego sets are released but they were not called lego sets they were called "Automatic binding bricks" and they looked even more different. -
Present name
In 1934 the lego company was officially named LEGO which comes from the two Danish words "play well". -
Present form
in 1958 the now named lego company made their legos the way they are today nice and compatible. -
the worst
Sadly in 1960 the lego department burned because it was struck by lightning and all the toys were lost but Ole did not give up. -
Present day
Today we see legos on almost every toy store with newer Lego pieces starting over 80 yess ago from one man's hard work to the world's number 1 toy.
