Defenestration of Prague
The start of the Clavinist Revolt with the rebels trying to assassinate Bohemian catholic members. Two regents were thrown out of the window of the castle of Prague because their were found guilty in a crime - violating the letter of Majesty by closing Protestant chapels.
This is the event that dated the begining of the Thirty Years War.

Gustav Addolphus becomes leader of the Protestants and moves into Germany. In 1632 in the battle of Lutzen the Swedes defeat Wallsteiin, but Adolphus is killed. Wallstein enters secret negotiation with the Swedes and is assassinated . The emperor defeats the Swedes.

Cardinal Richelieu, wants to weaken Hapsburg and take over Alsace from the Roman Empire, he was also plotting against Spain. France succeeds against Spain and sends forces to take over Germany, which balances the war in favour of the empire's foes. Ferdinand II dies and is succeeded by his son, which starts peace negotiations with France, but they are not successful until the death of Cardinal Richelieu.
