Massachusetts

The Mayflower of English Separatists lands in Plymouth on November 11.

Virginia

Virginia becomes a royal colony of England.

Delaware

Aug 18, 1641

Delaware becomes the 7th colony.

South Carolina

Nov 18, 1664

South Carolina is established as the 9th colony.

New Hampshire

Oct 20, 1679

New Hampshire becomes a royal colony.

New York

Nov 21, 1685

New York becomes a royal colony.

New Jersey

Jan 26, 1702

New York becomes a royal colony.

Georgia

Georgia becomes the 13th colony, named after King George II
