North Vietnam spread widely in areas that weren't subject to attack. The South didn't spread out and had many troops in major areas of attack which then led to the South pushing out the North. This is a possible outcome because the North could have not spread so widely and focused on the major areas. -

Northern Vietnam declared war against the U.S. and Southern Vietnam in hopes of defeating them. North Vietnam decides to equip a new strategy in which they attack each city one by one instead of all at the same time. This outcome is a possibility because the North attacked all 5 cities at once. -
