    At the start of World War 1 Germany was hoping to not have to fight two fronts. The way they would do this was by taking down France before they went to fight Russia. After taking early success they quickly failed again after the reinforcements didn't come in time. The French and British launched a counterattack at the Marne on 6/10/1914 after several days of fighting the Germans retreated.

    Battle of Tannerburg

    The Battle of Tannerburg was the first major battle of WWI. It was very much a resounding victory for the Germans as they needed to prove they could beat bigger, stronger, larger armies by using superior tactics and training. The Russians had about 206,000 troops and the Germans had 166,000 so the Germans winning this battle was very significant for them.

    The battle of Verdun

    The battle of Verdun (21 February - 18, December 1916) was one of the longest battles of WWI and also was the one that cost the most for the countries. On February 1916 Germany attacked the French town of Verdun where the fighting would last almost a whole year both sides lot of men on both sides with the Germans losing 430,000 men and the French losing 550,000 this affected French military desicision making and also affected their political decisions too

    The battle of Somme

    The Battle of Somme started on July 1st and ended on November 18th, 1916. It was a joint operation between the French forces and British forces to achieve a very critical victory over the Germans on the Western Front. The battle to many people seems to be the most painful and infamous battle. In December 1915 all the Allied commanders had met to discuss strategies for the upcoming year and agreed to launch a joint French and British attack in the region of the River Somme in the summer of 1916.

    The German offspring (21 March - 18, July 1918) was a highly risky gamble for Germany for trying to get the western front back. The operation's name was “Micheal” On the morning of march 21 British and the Allies were met with a bunch of concentration fire, smoke, and a lot of infantry. Germany had put all of their resources into the western front after the loss to Russia facing them were very weak allied forces that for the majority of the three years were on the offensive side

    he traveled to the Eiffel Tower and saw hundreds of guns taken by Huns also by tanks, airplanes, and balloons

    On two occasions he was sent into to the battlefields to send about 500 pairs of battlefield shoes to the soldiers and he enjoyed both trips.

    He will be stuck in France for another 6 months because they are taking care of sick men and they were sent Christmas presents from Red Cross and also received a dinner
