Сад металлургов был заложен в 1930 году, во время первых субботников строителей КМК. Но основные работы по его строительству пришлись на 1934-1937 годы.
The Garden of Metallurgist was founding in 1930, at the time of the first collective voluntary works on Saturdays, which were organised by Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant (КМК) builders. But the main part of building work was done in 1934-1937 -
The Creation of Monument
The project was designed by sculptor Aleksandr Suzikov but the original idea of the monument was generated by German architector Gerhard Kozel. This monument was reveiled in 1936 -
The reconstrucrion of the monument
In 2001 the monument was rebuilt. Group of sculptors created a design ( by Fyodorov, Zhuravkov, Shubkina). Old figures were removed, and new ones were made of cast iron. They have been casted for four months! It was really difficult work.
