The Coercive Acts, commonly known as the Intolerable Acts had several effects such as:
-The charter for the colony of Massachusetts was cancelled.
-Until the point of time when Boston paid for the tea thrown into Boston Harbor during the Boston Tea Party, Boston Harbor was closed.
