    Sony produces the first portable stero casset player known as the "Walkman"

  • CD Player

    Sony produces the first CD player in the world, the CDP-101

  • Renovations

    CBS/Sony becomes Sony Music Entertainment Inc. During this year, Sony also came out with their portable television, the Sony Watchman.

  • Leaping Ahead

    During '95, Sony beomes the leader in selling color t.v's. They also produce the first digital video camcorder for consumer use.

  • PS2

    Sony revamps thier gaming system and introduces the Play Station 2, a huge hit. Features DVD viewing capability

  • Blu-ray

    Sony introduces the advanced Blu-ray disc for movies and entertainment

  • PS3

    Sony's newest addition to the gaming world, the PlayStation 3 with Blu-ray viewing capability
