The Great Pyramid of Giza
The only ancient wonder still standing. The pyramid is the royal tomb of the pharaoh Khufu and covers 13 acres. It contains more than two millions stones, the smallest of which weigh two tons and the largest of which weigh 30. The walls were originally built as steps and then filled in with limestone. The interior included narrow corridors and hidden chambers to deter grave robbers. However, archeologists believe all treasure was looted within 250 years of its completion.
