Japan launched a surprise attack on Russia after they disagreed to spilt Manchuria and Korea. Then, war was declared without any warning to the people. -

When World War 1 occured, Russia responded by rallying around the czar, Nicholas II. They entered the war because they feared Germany would take over some of thier land. -

The czar was forced to abdicate and was replaced by a provisional government. Later replaced with a bolshevik, communist, government. -

Lenin led a revolt to capture the winter palace, and they gave up quite easily. -

Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne
During the February Revolution, Czar Nicholas II is forced to give up the throne by the Petrograd insurgents, and a provincial government is put in his place. -
Nicholas II and his family are executed
On July 17, 1918 Nicholas II and his family were executed, therefore ending the czar family line.
