Nicholas ll Becaomes Czar of Russia
Nicholas ll is known for being the last czar of Russia, but when he first become czar he never wanted the job in the first place. Also within the same year he married and was more of a family man. Some of him most memorable moments in his rule is Bloody Sunday, and leading russia in WW1. -
The Ruso-Japanese War
Nicholas ll was hoping to expand Russia into Asia and was overconfient on Japan being a easy fight. Within two years time Russia were completly humiliated by Japan. This lend Russia into a crashing econmy with high prices and lots of suffering for the working class. -
Bloody Sunday
Close to losing a war with Japan people began to rebel and asking for demands in St. Petersburg. Czar Nicholas ll sent imperial forces in to open fire on the people. The number of people killed is not certain, but the esimated amount of killings is about 1000. -
WW1 (Russin Involvment)
When russia entered WW1 they had the largest army of 12 million soilders, but Russia could only arm 1/3 of their soldiers. In the end there was a total of 9,150,000 casuaities in Russia and because the amount of people lost in the war Russia went into a Cilvil War with a poor economy within the years to come. -
The March Revolution
Millions were dead from WW1 and the people that didn't fight had huge food shortages ;making the people of russia evey angry at the government. This lend to many rebellions in Russia, making Nickolas ll abdicat the thrown,and in the end creating a civil war. -
Czar Nicholas ll Abdicated the Throne
After coming back from WW1 and within the March Revolution Nicholas abdicated the thrown. Once he was gone a provincial government was formed in his place. Nicholas was later killed with his family on July 16. -
The Russia Civil War Beings
After Nicholas ll left the thrown a povisional government was set up, but a group called the bolshevicks started to rebel agianst them. This lend to a civil war of the Red Army, bolsheviks, against the White Army, povisional government. In the end the Red Army won leand by lenin and Trosky, but over the many years of war over seven million people died. -
The Creation of the U.S.S.R
After the end of the civil war Russia got a new name, USSR. The USSR stands for union of soviet social republics. After the war lenin remained in charge, but he started to become ill and was worried about a man the was coming to power, Joseph Stalin. -
Vladimir Lenin's Daeth
After the civil war Lenin came to power, but started to become aware of his health after his first stroke. On January 21 Lenin died. After Lenin died Stalin came to power; even though Lenin was fearful of his power.
