Raid on Harpers Ferry
In 1859 a strong abolitionist named John Brown and his sons invaded harpers ferry. He was attempting to start a slave rebellion. However no slaves came to help and Brown and his sons were overwhelmed by the U.S Marines. Brown was sentenced to death for treason. -
Election of 1860
The Election of 1860 had four running contestants in the election. The main people that were running were Lincoln, Brekenridge, Bell, and Douglas. The election was split between the country with Lincoln winning in the North, and Breckedridge winning in the South.
