    The Stamp Act
    A requirement for colonists to pay taxes on items using a stamp. If the stamp was on a document or item then you know the tax was paid for it. The patriots resented the act because they did not approve of the taxation without representation. This resulted in the Patriots acting out against the British in riots and protests. Bell, J. L.   • The Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts
    These acts placed tax on items being sent to the American Colonies including tea, glass, lead, etc. The colonies felt it was wrong that they were being taxed, so they refrained from purchasing overseas.     The Boston Massacre
    A short-lived battle between the Patriots and British soldiers. The British soldiers fired into the crowd of Patriots killing multiple colonists.
