Battles of Lexington and Concord 1775
British troops were sent to Lexington and Concord to seize gunpowder and capture rebel leaders John Hancock and Sam Adams. In Lexington several Americans were killed, but in Concord the British suffered severe losses and retreated. The war had began. -
