The Gaspee Affair
-a boat,Gaspee, crashed near Rhode Island
-55 men,Sons of Liberty, attacked the boat, they were lead by John Brown
-the Gaspee was a British Navy ship sent to enforce trade laws and the collection of taxes on goods shipped from Britain to America. -
Boston Tea Party
-it was protest against the tax policy that controlled imported tea
-officials refused to return taxed tea to Britian
-colonists boarded the ships and tossed the tea into the Boston Harbor -
