Romulus Founds (Starts) Rome
Ancient Rome was founded by two twin brothers known as the demi-gods, Romulus and Remus. The two brothers had an argument of which of them should establish and rule the city (or where it should be located). Then, Romulus killed Remus and named the city after himself. -

Theodosis I was the first emperor to decree that all citezens should be Christian. He was also the last ruler to preside over a united Eastern and Western Roman Empire. After Theodosis' death in 395 BC, the empire split into western and eastern halves. -

Caesar Augustus Becomes Emperor
Caesar Augustus was the name of the first emperor of Rome. He was born on September 23, 63 BCE. By 2 BCE Augustus was declared Pater Patriae, the father of his country. Sadly, Augustus died at Nola in 14 CE. -

Julius Caesar defeated many rivals against Rome, he was also represented as future leader of Roman Republic; however his friends became jealous and became Julius enemies. Many of Julius "friends" met together secretly to announce their plan to kill him. On the day of the assassination, Julius was stabbed to death. -

The Pantheon is the best preserved building from ancient Rome and was completed in 125 BC in the region of Hadrian. The Pantheon may have been designed as a place where the emperor could make public appearances.
