French and Indian War
France had gotten land by the Ohio River Valley, this caused conflict with the colonies and after a series of battles the declaration of war began in 1756 and went on seven years which is a reason they call this Seven Year War. The war lasted till 1763 -

Stamp Act
AN ACT for granting and applying certain stamp duties, and other duties, in the British colonies and plantations in America, towards further defraying the expenses of defending, protecting, and securing the same; and for amending such parts of the several acts of parliament relating to the trade and revenues of the said colonies and plantations, as direct the manner of determining and recovering the penalties and forfeitures therein mentioned. -
Tea Act
There was still a tax on tea, but the company sold the tea for a cheaper price. -
Proclamation of 1773
Basically, it told the colonists where they could and could not go. When the French and Indian war was over, we owned a great deal of land and Parliament didn’t want them going into the land -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists threw Tea from Britain overboard protesting the tax. -
Intolerable Acts
They saw the passing the tea over board as destruction so, tthey decided they were going to pay. -
Declaration of Independence
We signed a document saying we were free from Britain, and there government.
