War of the Roses
The War of Roses occurred from 1455-1485 between the royal houses of York and Lancaster(the white and red rose respetively), over the English thone. It came to an end when Henry Tudor defeater Richard of Glousester at Bosworth. He was crowned Henry VII in 1485, and married Elizabeth of York reuniting the two houses and creating the Tudor Dynasty. -

Gutenberg Bible Printed
The Gutenberg Bible was the first book printed by a moveable printing press, and its creation marked the beginnig of the "Gutenberg Revolution". There are only 21 surviving Bibles left and the price of one could cost you anywhere between $25-30 million USD -

Columbus sails west
Christoper Columbus and his ship crew arrive and what is now the Bahammas. Thinking he's found a shorter way to India. He instead has found the "New World", and the Age of Exploration begins. -
The Spanish Armada
The fleet was to sail north under the command of the Duke of Medina Sedonia against England. Its objective was to overthrow Elizabeth I and stop not only the English involvment in the Spanish Netherlands, but also the English pirvateering in the Atlantic and Pacific ocean. The Armade was ravaged by a hurricane before it could reach England.
